Hello, Mississippi Annual Conference!
This is LaToya Redd Thompson, the Mississippi Annual Conference Lay Leader, writing to invite you to the board of laity-sponsored annual informational session for lay members of annual conference and all interested laity, also known as the laity session. It will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. The laity session will be virtual.
We will discuss the work of conference committees and will celebrate ministry that has gone on in local churches throughout our conference. Additionally, we will discuss the BeUMC campaign, learn about Discipleship in the Marketplace, and will hear words from Bishop Lewis during her first time with us. In preparation for the session, please review the agenda beforehand.
The board of laity hopes to see you for the sharing of this important information Saturday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m.
